The Bulgarian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) will build a business incubator in Vidin. This statement was made by Ognyan Tsenkov during a kick-off conference on the occasion of launching the project “Cross-border partnership for employment and labour mobility” under the cross-border cooperation programme INTERREG V-A Romania-Bulgaria 2014-202, co-funded by the EU. Leading organization for the project implementation is BSMEPA and its partner is the Local Employers Association for Small and Middle Enterprises (LEASME) Calafat, Romania. The business incubator will be situated in an existing municipal building, one floor of which is made available to be used by the Agency, the mayor explained. According to the project, renovation will be carried out with the aim of creating a business incubator, which will support the cross-border labour mobility. The equipment required for its functioning will be also provided.

BSMEPA experts Mr. Svilen Elenkov and Ms. Maria Mrankova explained further that the incubator will be used for seminars and trainings – mainly vocational, in different areas. The plans include organizing and conducting a labour fair, where investors and employers will be able to present opportunities for employment and business in the cross-border region.

The implementation of the project will provide sustainable resources and will carry out training for more than 1 000 persons in different courses. The business incubator will hold regular courses for people seeking employment in the country and abroad. The project is worth € 451 798.14, of which € 384 028.41 are co-funded by the EU.
