On July 14 at 11:00 AM, BSMEPA conducted a hybrid event in collaboration with the Embassy of the State of Israel in Sofia, presenting the agricultural sector of Israel – challenges, innovations, and business opportunities for Bulgarian producers in the food and flavor industry.
The event was inaugurated by Boyko Takov, PhD., Executive Director of the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, and Ms. Naama Levi, Deputy Head of the Mission of the State of Israel in Sofia. The program continued with a presentation on Israeli agriculture, highlighting challenges by Mr. Daniel Werner, Head of External Relations and International Cooperation Department at CFTIC – the Center for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation, and a presentation on innovative technologies offered by the Israeli private sector by Mr. Federico Atlasovich, Manager of AgroTech at the Israeli Export Institute. Participating companies had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the Bulgarian trade representative stationed at the Bulgarian Embassy in the State of Israel, Mr. Kamen Minkov, and pose their questions to all panelists.
The Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) has been the lead partner in the Go International (GoInt) project since 2021, implemented under the Interreg „Greece-Bulgaria“ 2014-2020 cross-border cooperation program, in partnership with the German-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Greek-Italian Chamber of Commerce. The core activities of the GoInt project involve organizing and conducting informational sessions, training sessions, trade missions, participation in stands at international fairs/exhibitions, and the development and launch of an informational electronic platform (software product).
The primary aim of the project is to promote Bulgarian and Greek small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the food and flavor industry by providing an interactive tool/platform, training for boosting entrepreneurial success and sales, penetrating foreign markets, supporting exploratory activities in new markets, and showcasing products at global fairs/exhibitions.
