The Go International (GoInt) project under the Interreg Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020 cross-border cooperation program, executed in partnership with the German-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Greek-Italian Chamber of Commerce, concluded with a substantial event in Sofia. In this event, the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (EAPSME) acted as the leading partner, and over 100 companies and organizations had the opportunity to explore the possibilities of various markets.
The project aims to promote cross-border cooperation between Bulgaria and Greece and to support companies from both countries in entering the target markets of Israel and Vietnam.
Within the project framework, EAPSME conducted special meetings with the embassies of Vietnam and Israel, trade missions involving participants from Bulgaria and Greece in both countries, as well as the educational program Grow.Global. This program featured a series of lectures and mentorship sessions with some of the most prominent domestic managers and experts, engaging nearly 350 enterprises.
The event in Sofia, opened by EAPSME’s Executive Director Boyko Takov, gathered more than 100 companies, providing them with insights into various markets, including Greece, Israel, and Italy. Speakers included Naama Levi, Deputy Head of the Israeli Mission in Sofia; Dimitrios Michas, Head of the Economic and Trade Affairs Department at the Greek Embassy; Roberto Santorelli, President of Conindustria Bulgaria; and Savvas Karafillidis, Chairman and Founder of the Bulgarian-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The panel was moderated by Georgi Malchev, Managing Director of Xplora Digital Marketing. Special online participation in the panel was taken by Kamen Minkov, Head of the Trade and Economic Affairs Office at the Bulgarian Embassy in Israel.
The panel, dedicated to the project and best practices in the internationalization of companies, included Iva Tsvetkova, Head of GoInt and Chief Expert at EAPSME; Genoveva Hristova, CEO of Ligna Group; Gena Sabeva, Founder of the Startup and Entrepreneurship Council at BCCI; Ivo Konstantinov, Head of the Washington Office of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria; as well as representatives of partner organizations in the project – Marco Dela Pupa, General Secretary of the Greek-Italian Chamber of Commerce in Thessaloniki, and Georgios Theodorakis, Director of the Northern Greece Department of the German-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
