With a special ceremony embracing the traditions and culture of the eastern country, the construction of the Bulgarian Pavilion, which will represent our nation at the World Expo 2025, commenced. The event took place on June 24, 2024, in Osaka, Japan.
Participants in the ceremony included: H.E. Marieta Arabadjieva – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Japan, Mr. Krasimir Ivanov – Head of the Trade and Economic Section in Tokyo, Dr. Boyko Takov – Executive Director of BSMEPA, Mr. Konstantin Botev – Head of the „MIC“ Department at BSMEPA, representatives from the Japan-Bulgaria Association, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria in Izumiotsu, the Japan-Bulgaria Community, and the Japan Association for the 2025 World Expo. Also present were our lessors from „Daiwa Lease Co. Ltd.,“ represented by their President Mr. Tetsuya Kita, and the team engaged with the project.
During the visit of the Bulgarian delegation, a working meeting was held with „Daiwa Lease Co. Ltd.“ – the largest company in Japan for leasing spaces, where the progress of the construction of the Bulgarian pavilion was discussed. Additionally, the BSMEPA team participated in a meeting with all participating countries and the organizers of Expo 2025 in Nara. Comprehensive information and further clarifications regarding the requirements for this major global event, which will take place from April to October 2025, were provided.
